OGDEN, Utah (March 21, 2016) –
Eastern Washington is the lone Big Sky Conference men’s basketball team still playing in the postseason and the Eagles will have a chance to advance in the College Basketball Invitational tonight as they travel to face Nevada at 7 p.m. Pacific.
 
Weber State's season came to an end Friday evening as the No. 15 seeded Wildcats fell 71-53 to No. 2 seed Xavier in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.
 
Senior Joel Bolomboy posted his 75th career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He will leave WSU as the program and conference's all-time leading rebounder and the Weber State blocks leader.

Eastern Washington 79, Pepperdine 72 – Bogdan Bliznyuk socred 23 of his game-best 25 points in the second half to lead the Eagles to their first win in a national tournament in the school's Division I history. The Eagles scored 50 points in the second half to earn the win. Austin McBroom was second in scoring for EWU with 24 points.
 
UC Irvine 89, North Dakota 86 – UC Irvine escaped Grand Forks with an overtime win over North Dakota in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Geno Crandall scored a career-high 22 points for the Fighting Hawks, who end their season with a 17-16 record.
 
Nevada 79, Montana 75 – Montana's season came to an end Wednesday night in Reno, Nev., as the Grizzlies fell at Nevada. The Wolfpack erased a 10-point deficit to top the Grizzlies and move on to the next round of the CBI. Jack Lopez was red-hot from behind the arc as he went 6-for-9 from deep and finished with 20 points for UM. Martin Breunig also had 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting with eight rebounds.
 
Seattle 68, Idaho 63 – Both teams had four players reach double-figures but in the end, Seattle came out on top over Idaho in the CBI opener. Idaho ends its season with a 21-13 record. Perrion Callandret led the Vandals with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 4-of-9 from behind the arc. Arkadiy Mkrtychyan added 15 for the Vandals
