OGDEN, Utah (December 6, 2016) –
Eastern Washington sits atop the standings as the 2016-17 non-conference season heads into the final stretch. The Eagles hold a 6-2 record and have won five straight thanks, in large part, to the strong play of junior forward, Bogdan Bliznyuk.

Bliznyuk has scored 30 points in three games this season and posted 31 in the Eagles’ win at Seattle on Sunday. Bliznyuk ranks third in the conference in scoring, trailing Northern Colorado’s Jordan Davis and Montana State’s Tyler Hall.

Wednesday will be a day of rivalries as Idaho State gets this week’s action started at No. 17 Wisconsin. Montana hosts San Jose State while North Dakota heads to Fargo, N.D. to face rival North Dakota State. Weber State will head down I-15 for a road trip to Brigham Young and Idaho State heads to Washington State in the Battle of the Palouse.
