Maria Sanchez continues to be the top offensive player in the Big Sky after the fourth week of the 2015 season. The sophomore from American Falls, Idaho led the Bengals with six points this week, recording an assist in ISU’s match at Utah Valley and notching her sixth and seventh goals at Utah State. Sanchez had an influence on all three ISU goals at Utah State, recording her third assist off her pass to freshman forward Esmeralda Nunez for the Bengals first goal of the match.

Southern Utah has been rolling as of late. The Thunderbirds are currently riding a four-game winning streak after picking up two wins against Houston Baptist and South Dakota last weekend in the UTRGV Tournament. Paige Robins leads SUU with three goals on the season while Ally Thimsen has a pair of goals. The T-birds will have the weekend off before resuming play against Big Sky foe, Portland State on September 25.

This week’s action kicks off Tuesday at 4 p.m. as Northern Colorado travels to Wyoming for a 4 p.m. Mountain kickoff. Idaho State will also travel to Wyoming for a match on Friday afternoon.

Eastern Washington will look to extend its winning streak beginning Wednesday at Illinois-Chicago. The Eagles picked up a pair of wins over Valparaiso and Green Bay last weekend and topped Idaho in non-conference action last Monday.
