After beating Montana, the Vikings are 3-0 against nationally-ranked teams this season... Portland State has two wins over FBS competition... Northern Colorado leads the nation in both punt and kick returns... Vikings quarterback Alex Kuresa scored two touchdowns and threw two touchdowns in the win over Montana... PSU is 7-1 for the first time in school history... Northern Colorado is last in opponents third-down conversions, allowing 47.5 percent.
UC Davis at Weber State: Weber State leads the Big Sky in kickoff coverage, at 43.8 ypk... UC Davis is 0-3 on the road this season... The Aggies continue to lead the Big Sky in red-zone conversion, converting 95.5 percent of opportunities (21-of-22, 13 touchdowns)... Cookus’ seven TD passes tied a school-record, and is the most in the Big Sky this season... Eastern Washington is first in the league in passing offense, but is last in total defense... EWU receiver Cooper Kupp caught two more touchdown passes to move to 54 career receiving touchdowns.
Sacramento State at Cal Poly: Cal Poly continues to have the nation’s top rushing offense, averaging 406.2 yards per game... Sacramento State has the league’s second-best rushing defense, surrendering just 141.5 yards per game... Cal Poly has the league’s second-worst defense, surrendering 36.6 points a game... The Mustangs surrendered five fumbles in a loss to Southern Utah.. Jody Sears is 0-1 at Spanos Stadium as a head coach, losing a 2013 game as Weber State’s head coach...
