OGDEN, Utah (Feb. 18, 2014) – After five weeks of competition, the Northern Colorado women, and the Weber State and Northern Colorado men top the Big Sky Tennis standings.
In its only match of the weekend, the Northern Colorado women defeated Weber State 6-1. The Montana women went 2-0 with 7-0 wins over Lewis-Clark State and Montana State. Montana State also played Lewis-Clark State and won 6-1. The North Dakota women defeated Weber State 6-1 in its only match of the weekend. The Portland State women defeated Seattle 4-3 in its only match.
The Weber State men defeated North Dakota 7-0 in its only match over the weekend. The Montana State men defeated MSU-Billings 7-0 and Montana 4-3, in a non-conference match. The Northern Arizona men went 2-1 with wins over New Mexico State and UMKC and a loss to No. 72 New Mexico. The Portland State men got a win against Willamette but lost to Pacific (Ore.) and Gonzaga. The Sacramento State men lost 6-1 to UC Davis.
The Weber State women went 0-3 with losses to Utah State, North Dakota and Northern Colorado. The Northern Arizona women went 0-3 with losses to UTEP, Lamar and New Mexico State. The Eastern Washington women lost to Utah State 7-0.
