OGDEN, Utah (Feb. 11, 2014) – After four weeks of competition, the Northern Colorado men and the Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado women top the Big Sky Tennis standings.
The Northern Colorado men went 2-0 over the weekend after defeating Colorado Mesa and North Dakota 5-2. The Sacramento State men swept UC Riverside 7-0. The Weber State men defeated Seattle 4-3. The North Dakota men lost to Air Force. The Eastern Washington men lost to Gonzaga. The match between Portland State and Willamette was postponed due to inclement weather.
The Northern Colorado women went 2-0 with wins over Colorado Mesa and Portland State. The Montana women defeated Gonzaga 4-3. The Sacramento State women lost to No. 73 Arizona 4-0 and defeated UTEP 5-2. The North Dakota women lost to Northern Iowa and Creighton and defeated Western Illinois 7-0. The Eastern Washington women’s match against Lewis-Clark State was cancelled due to inclement weather. The EWU women faced Seattle and lost 5-2. The Idaho State women lost to Utah State.
