The Northern Arizona men and the Sacramento State women won the Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Bozeman, Mont.

Northern Arizona won the men’s championship with 143 1/2 points. Montana State placed second with 126 points. Following MSU was Sacramento State (80 points), Weber State (73 1/2), Southern Utah (63), Montana (63), Eastern Washington (51), Idaho State (46), Northern Colorado (42), North Dakota (8) and Portland State (7). 

Sacramento State won the women’s championship with 107 points. Second-place Portland State finished with 93 points. Following PSU was ISU (85), MSU (76), WSU (70), NAU (63), SUU (58), UM (47), EWU (26), NC (23), UND (15). 

The men’s Most Valuable Athlete was Austin Emry of Montana and Jeff Mohl of Montana State. Both scored 27 individual points for the meet. 

The women’s Most Valuable Athlete was a three-way tie with 20 points. Sacramento State’s Sakya Bolton, PSU’s Joenisha Vinson, and MSU’s Heather Haug. 

The men’s Most Outstanding Performer was Montana State’s Jeff Mohl, who scored 5,725 points in the heptathlon. 

The women’s Most Outstanding Performer was Southern Utah’s Kayla Kovar for her throw in the shot put of 53-6 1/4. 

Sakya Bolton of Sacramento State broke the Big Sky Conference record in the 55-meter hurdles. She had a time of 7.77. The record was set in 1998 by Nsa Henshaw of Weber State. 

Geronne Black of Portland State broke the Big Sky Conference women’s 55 meter record with a time of 6.86. She broke the record of 6.95 set in 1996 by Christian White of Eastern Washington.
