ERIE, Colo. - The Northern Colorado Bears saved their best round for last at the NCAA West Regional golf tournament.

Paced by senior Ali Nelson, who shot a 1-over-par 73, Northern Colorado shot a 306 on Saturday at the Colorado National Golf Course. Northern Colorado finished in 23rd place with a 54-hole score of 941.

Junior Carleigh Silvers, the Big Sky champion, closed with a 75 as did junior Hannah McNeley. Silvers tied for 56th overall with a 54-hole total of 227.

Top-ranked UCLA and LSU tied for first at 873. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Championship in Nashville, Tenn., along with the top eight teams from the East Regional and the Central Regional.
