Baker was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on January 16th for averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds in home wins over Northern Arizona and Weber State.
She is a two-time Academic All-Big Sky Conference selection, and was named to the first-team All Big Sky Conference last season.

Q: How did you get started playing basketball?
A: In the fourth grade I was the tallest girl in my class, but also the most uncoordinated. I never played before in my life, but my best friend asked me to cover for her in a game. The coach never let me go after that. And since then I've been blessed with amazing coaches who believed in me.
Q: When being recruited, what made you choose Montana?
A: I absolutely fell in love with the campus, but most importantly I was impressed with its coaches. They have a history of success and yet believe that there's more to life than basketball.
Q: What have been some of your favorite memories at Montana?
A: Top memory would obviously be the end of last season. Winning the Big Sky Conference championship and then all the excitement built around the NCAA tournament. Being able to play in the NCAA tournament in Spokane in front of all my friends and family will be a moment I will never forget.
Q: How much have your coaches and teammates helped you?
A: Since I have been here, the coaches and teammates have had such a huge impact on my life on and off the court. My teammates I will be friends with for the rest of life and we have gone through so much together. These girls are with me when I'm at my lowest of lows and also there when I'm on the highest mountain top. And the coaches obviously have always had faith in me, and I think learning that has made the biggest impact on me. All in all I've been truly blessed.
Q: What are your personal goals for this season?
A: Give my all every single day of the season. Enjoy every practice, every game, and every road trip to the fullest. And each day let my game and light shine for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Q: What are your team goals for this season?
A: Big Sky Conference Championship, and NCAA tournament. No question about that.
Q: You were named MVP after winning the Lady Griz Holiday Classic. How did you feel about that honor?
A: I am truly humbled and honored by this award. Obviously, you cannot get an award like this without a solid and outstanding team. So I have to credit it to my team and their performance. I am just so incredibly blessed to have this opportunity and to be a part of this team.
Q: You were named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on Monday (Jan. 16). How did it feel to be honored?
A: Once again, I'm just extremely humbled. There are a ton of outstanding players in the Big Sky and to be given this honor is truly a blessing. A lot of girls deserve this award in my opinion and I am just humbled that I was selected.
Q: What was going through your head after Montana won the Big Sky Conference Tournament last season, especially when coming in the No. 4 seed?
A:It was a feeling I will never forget. Our entire team was nothing but smiles from ear to ear. And for all the mountains and obstacles we went through during the season, it all made it so worth it. I will cherish that year and that team in my heart forever.
Q: You were all the Big Sky All-Academic team for two years now. How important are your studies?
A: I know that basketball won't last forever. And since I am blessed with the opportunity of a free education, I want to use that to my advantage. At everything I do, I want to give my all. That's on and off the court. I try my hardest in the classroom to exceed expectations and take advantage of every learning opportunity.
Q: Tell us something we wouldn’t know about you?
A: My dream job is to be a mom.
Q: If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be and why?
A: George Clooney, for his wit and incredibly good looks. Sandra Bullock, because she's my favorite actress, and Kate Middleton, because I think she'd be incredibly classy.
Q: If you couldn’t play basketball what sport would you do?
A: I think I would try lacrosse or golf. I'm not good at either.
Q: What if your favorite road trip in the Big Sky and why?
A: I love going to Portland because I love the city, and for the shopping.
Q: Who is the best dancer on the team and why?
A: It's really close but I'm going to have to say Tianna Ware. She's got moves.
