Friday afternoon marked the second weekend of the 2010 Big Sky soccer season. After the dust fell Friday night he Big Sky finished with three wins, three losses, and one tie.
Portland State (1-2-0) was able to nab a 3-2 win in the double-overtime against Louisiana-Monroe at the Las Vegas Invitational, while Idaho State (2-1-0) won its home opener 4-1 against the College of Idaho.
Sacramento State (1-2-0) was also pushed to double-overtime against San Jose State. The Hornets tallied the first and the last goal of the match winning 2-1 in San Jose, Calif.
Eastern Washington (0-0-1) opened its season at Cal State Bakersfield. The Eagles scored early but were unable to hold the lead and escaped with a 1-1 tie.
Northern Colorado (2-1-0) lost 3-2 to Idaho, marking the first loss of the season for the Bears.
Montana (0-3-0) lost to 1-0 to Iowa State in Missoula, Mont. and Weber State (0-2-0) fell to BYU 5-1 in Provo, Utah.
