OGDEN, Utah - Weber State's will play for its ninth Big Sky Conference men's basketball championship on Wednesday night after beating No. 6 seed Portland State 69-60 on Tuesday night in the second semifinal.

League MVP Damian Lillard scored 23 points with five rebounds and four assists to lead the Wildcats (20-9) to their second championship appearance in four seasons.

The top-seeded Wildcats will take on No. 4 seed Montana in Wednesday's championship game at 7 p.m. Mountain live on ESPN2. Montana beat No. 2 Northern Colorado 68-63 in the first semifinal game.

Montana and Weber State have played in the championship game five times, most recently in 2005 when the Grizzlies won in Portland, Ore.

Weber State shot 33.3 percent from the floor, and made just 7-of-26 3-pointers. The Wildcats, however, outrebounded Portland ate 48-32, including a 17-5 edge on the offensive end.

Franklin Session scored 13 points with eight rebounds for the Wildcats. Trevor Morris scored 10 points off the bench.

Senior Julius Thomas scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Vikings, who saw their season end at 13-18. Senior Dominic Waters had 19 points, but fouled out in the final minute.
