Portland State University will play Texas A&M of the Big XII Conference in the first round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.
The Vikings became the first no. 5 seed to win the Big Sky Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 13th, by beating no. 6 seed Montana State 62-58. It also marked the programs first Big Sky Championship title and first appearance in the NCAA Division I tournament.
The women’s championship tournament will be televised on the ESPN family of networks. Tip time for Portland State vs Texas A&M is 8:00 p.m. EST/5:00 p.m. PST.
Texas A&M enters the tournament as the Big XII Champion after defeating Nebraska in the title game 80-70.
