PORTLAND, Ore. (February 5, 2010) - Sacramento State (9-12, 5-4 BSC) shot 60.0 percent from the field in the second half, erasing a five-point halftime deficit to defeat Portland State (12-10, 6-3 BSC) by a score of 83-78 and pick up their fifth straight win. The victory is the Hornet's first over Portland State since the 2005-06 season.
Sacramento State's Emily Christensen led all scorers with 23 points, as she finished 11-of-24 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line, just one point shy of tying her career-high.
Portland State was led by Erin Yankus, who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Claire Faucher and Kelly Marchant each ended the contest with 14 points, with Marchant scoring 12 of her points in the second half.

Montana at Weber State
OGDEN, Utah (February 5, 2010) - Weber State (8-14, 2-7 BSC) ended a five-game losing streak and handed head coach Carla Taylor her 300th career win with a 59-55 upset of the University of Montana (11-10, 6-3 BSC) on Friday night at the Dee Events Center.
Sarah Conner and Caitlin Anderson each scored 17 points to lead the Wildcats. Conner scored 13 of her points in the first half to give the Wildcats an early spark. Anderson also had 10 rebounds to post her third double-double of the season.
Montana senior Lauren Beck led all scorers with 19 points, as she went 5-of-5 from 3-point range. Junior Stephanie Stender was the only other Montana player in double figures with 10. She also grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Montana State at Idaho State
POCATELLO, Idaho (February 5, 2010) - Idaho State (9-13, 4-5 BSC) ended a six game home undefeated win streak in its 83-72 loss to Montana State (11-11, 4-5 BSC) at Reed Gym Friday night.
Montana State senior guard Erica Perry put up 25 points, connecting on seven-of-12 from the field and nine-of-12 from the free throw line. In addition, she added six rebounds, four assists and two steals to lead the Bobcats.
Also in double-figures for the Bobcats were Katie Bussey 18, including three 3-pointers, and Janette Jackson, who poured in a career-high 12 points.
Senior forward Oana Iacovita led the Bengals in points with 18 points, hitting 9-of-16 from the field, and was one rebound shy of a double-double. Andrea Videbeck, a senior guard, recorded her third double-double of the season with 15 points and a career-high 12 assists.
Montana State improved to 4-5 while Idaho State fell to 4-5 in league play; both tying for fifth place in the Big Sky standings.
