Cross Country Release - Regional Edition 11/10/2009 5:00:00 PM Tanner Gooch PDF Version OGDEN, Utah (November 10, 2009) - Big Sky cross country teams will travel this weekend to their designated sites for the NCAA regionals. Eastern Washington, Portland State, and Sacramento State will all travel to Eugene, Ore. for the West Regional. Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, and Weber State all participate in the Mountain Region that will be hosted in Albequerque, N.M. on Satruday. The Northern Arizona men enter the Mountain Regional as the #4 ranked team in the nation, while the women enter as #31. In 2008 the Lumberjacks finished 2nd and 3rd respectfully at regionals, the men earned an automatic bid to nationals, while the women recieved an at-large bid. The West Regional will be hosted by Springfield Country Club in Eugene, Ore., with the men's race starting at 9:45 a.m. and the women follow at 10:45. New Mexico University will host the Mountain Regional at UNM North Golf Coarse. The men's 10K race will start at 10:45 and 6K women's race to start at Noon.
